This nomadic gallery has travelled to various places in the UK from Princelet Street in the east end of London up to Edinburgh and back to London Fields. These journeys have resulted in a number of notable shows highlighting artists such as Jock McFadyen, Bob and Roberta Smith, Richard Wilson and Miranda Argyle. Look out for The Landscape With its Clothes On, their next show of Jock McFadyen's work  at Clifford Chance, 10 Upper Bank Street, London E14 5JJ, 15 March - 23 April

Grey Gallery Records is also one to watch. Their label was started by Little Sparta and Sally Timms (Alan Boyd, Ben Bruce, Susie Honeyman and Scott Skinner along with fellow Mekons Lu Edmonds on ud and Sally Timms on vocals).

Little Sparta, the band, is the concept of writer and producer Alan Boyd; as a band they have released albums independently and on Fire Records while also having produced songs for film & television. The most recent projects include an LP with a poet, a collaboration with Sally Timms of the Mekons and music for the National Film Board of Canada. The band’s sound brings to mind artists such as the Dirty Three, The Rachels and Ennio Morricone. The influences range from American country-blues to avant-garde minimalist composers; post-rock to kraut-rock; Bach to the Beatles. The instrumentation includes guitar, violin, harmonium, drums, mandolin and glockenspiel The core members of the band are Alan, Susie Honeyman & Scott Skinner.

Be sure to check them out at their next gig at The Fleming Collection on 22 April.
